To think about when to install crawl space dehumidifier
- A desiccant dehumidifier does not need a collection vessel or drain for the water as it blows out the humid air.
- Before installing a dehumidifier for crawl spaces, plastic and seal the crawl space foundation thoroughly. A well-plasticized and sealed crawl space reduces energy consumption on the desiccant dehumidifier.
- Position the dehumidifier so you can easily access it.
- Dirty filters reduce the capacity of the crawl space dehumidifier, so be sure to change filters at least twice a year.
