Air purifier APU 500

APU 500 is a high-performance air purifier for homes and smaller premises where the aim is to reduce particles and other contaminants in indoor air. It is suitable for homes, offices, clinics, smaller commercial premises and other spaces where effective air cleaning is important. With continuously variable airflow of up to 520 m³/h, capacity can be adapted to the room size and current requirements.

The air purifier features a multi-stage filtration system with a pre-filter, activated-carbon molecular filter and HEPA H14 particle filter. The HEPA filter has a filter area of 9.7 m² and is designed for highly efficient removal of small airborne particles. Together, the filter stages reduce dust, pollen, spores, smoke, fine particles and certain gases and odours.

APU 500 was developed by Acetec in Älvsbyn and builds on many years of experience in products for ventilation, air purification and controlled indoor climates. The combination of compact size, adjustable airflow and high-efficiency filtration makes the model a flexible solution for both homes and smaller businesses.

What does APU 500 filter?

The filter system is designed to reduce a broad range of particles and contaminants in indoor air, for example:

• Pollen and allergens
• Mould and fungal spores
• Dust and fine particles
• Dust mites and particles from them
• Cigarette smoke and other smoke particles
• Airborne particles that may carry bacteria and viruses
• Certain gases and odours

Three filter stages for effective air purification

1. Pre-filter – filter class G4
   Removes larger particles and helps protect the downstream filters.
2. VOC Molecular Filter – Carbon RAD
   Activated-carbon molecular filter for reducing certain gases and odours.
3. Particle filter – HEPA H14
   High-efficiency particle filter with a filter area of 9.7 m² for highly effective removal of small airborne particles.

Capacity and noise level

APU 500 has continuously variable airflow and can be adjusted from quiet operation with low airflow to higher capacity when the need for air purification increases.

HEPA H14 filter from Swedish manufacturer Camfil

APU 500 uses high-efficiency filters from Swedish manufacturer Camfil, an established supplier of filtration solutions for environments with demanding air-filtration requirements. The HEPA filter is tested in accordance with relevant standards such as EN 1822 and ISO 29463.
