Choosing the right dehumidifier

Choosing the right and good dehumidifier is not always easy. That's why we at Acetec have provided this guide that hopefully will help you.

Two different dehumidification techniques

There are two different techniques when it comes to dehumidification. You either take care of a sorption dehumidifier or condensation dehumidifier. Below you can read more about each technology.

1. Condensation Dehumidification

This dehumidifier is advantageously used when it is +15 degrees celcius and warmer. Some uses may be to have a condensation dehumidifier in the laundry room, hot basements and other rooms that have room temperature.

2. Desiccant Dehumidification

The desiccant technology was invented by Carl Munters who was a Swedish inventor 1897 - 1989. The advantage of desiccant dehumidifiers is that you can dehumidify even when it is minus degrees and you do not need any drains or vessels to correct the water. Our dehumidifiers use only sorption technology to dehumidify.

Common areas to use your product

Some common uses are crawl spaces, cold attics, basements, garages, boats, caravans and campers to name just a few areas. Acetec also manufactures larger desiccant dehumidifiers for, among other things, ice rinks, storage tents, shelters and other larger spaces.

Here you can find a guide that suits your needs the best.
